Tell Your Story

Last Wednesday the community in Philadelphia gathered at Comcast’s Ralph’s Café to celebrate TedXPhiladelphia.  The celebration commemorated the 2015 talks and the video sharing efforts.  A few of the speakers who presented at the 2015 TedX spoke.  Each presenter shared a bit about themselves and the process.  The evening was both engaging and moving.  Of those who spoke, I wanted to share with you Stacy Holland’s message, as it specifically resonated with me.     

She spoke of her story – the need to share her story and ultimately the need to share your story.  

       Each of us has a story.   

Her motivation to understand prompted her to explore why the school system failed so many.  She eloquently spoke of her personal experience as she developed her Ted Talk.

Her in person call to action to tell your story was no less inspiring than her call tospeak hope and aspiration to the schools, and more importantly the students in the Philadelphia School District.  I encourage you to take the less than twenty minutes and watch her, as she advocates for us all to contribute to making Philadelphia a best in class school system during her
