Are you in your element? This morning I had the fortune of observing a blue heron, in all her glory. She stood tall and proud in the midst of Ridley creek, ignoring the few people who happened upon her majesty. She was in her element.
How often are we in our element? Do we get caught up in the what I should do versus what I want to do rhetoric? We’ve prioritized busy and in doing so, have yet to figure out the difference between productive and occupied. We have accepted swamped implies importance, outcome, results. When I know I can be busy and unproductive. How often do we waste time on things that need to get done but don’t inspire us, don’t engage us?
Time’s too short and resources are plentiful. It’s time to stand up, and get in our element.
